Copy a file, reload it, run one command, approve the permissions. Every product page and every manual walks you through those four steps, so they are summarised here rather than repeated. This page exists for the fourth one — the Google screen that says the app is not verified, which is where most people stop, and exactly what it is you are approving.
The link lives in your manual. Open it, choose to make a copy, and that copy lands in your own Drive. The original is never touched, so you can always copy it again.
The step people skip, and skipping it is why the workbook looks broken. The custom menu does not appear until the copy has been reloaded once.
One command builds the whole workbook. No wizard, no options screen, nothing to configure first.
Google will not let a script edit a sheet without your say so, so the first run asks once. This is the step the rest of this page is about.
When you approve the permissions, Google shows a warning saying it has not verified this app. It is the single biggest reason people abandon setup, and the wording does it no favours. It does not mean the workbook is unsafe. It means the developer has not paid Google to go through a formal verification review, which is a process aimed at apps that ask for access to thousands of accounts.
Advanced → Go to [the workbook name] (unsafe) → Allow
Do one check before you click through. Confirm the app name shown on that screen matches the workbook you just copied. That is the check that actually protects you, and it is the one nobody tells you to make. If the name is something you do not recognise, stop and close the tab.
Read and edit the one spreadsheet you copied.
Create the sheets, formulas and targets inside that file.
Recalculate your plan when you run a menu command, and ask Google for a PDF of the sheet you are already in — using your own login, which is why the consent screen mentions an external service.
Read your email, or send anything from your account.
Open, move or delete any other file in your Drive.
Send your numbers anywhere on its own. Nothing leaves the file unless you connect Zapier or Make yourself and paste in your own URL, and clearing that URL disconnects it.
A free one is fine. The workbook lives in your Drive and nowhere else.
Menu commands need a computer. After the build, day to day entry works fine on a phone.
The automation is Google Apps Script. The file opens in Excel but the menu will not be there, and nothing will build.
There is no subscription, no app to install and no monthly fee. Once the workbook is built it keeps working whether or not this site still exists.
